Some symbols resonate as if they were always meant to be. The cicada, radiant messenger of Provence, embodies the warmth, the light, and the joyful song of our summers. It is the discreet yet constant voice of the Aixois way of life, breathed through sun-warmed stone, fragrant gardens, and time that flows differently here.
With this Cicada Pendant, I wanted, as a creator, to pay tribute to our Mediterranean roots, to our nature, and to that luminous identity that has always lived within me.
Crafted in 18k yellow gold, the cicada shines with a solar brilliance, its delicate wings set with diamonds as if the southern sun itself had come to rest upon them. This jewel is designed to be fine, radiant, and luminous, echoing the song it symbolizes: ever-present without ever imposing, soft yet essential.
More than a simple motif, the cicada is for me a declaration of attachment — a vibrant homage to the land of Aix-en-Provence and to those who see in it a sincere beauty, a simple warmth, and a nature forever alive.
Through this creation, I also share a fragment of emotional heritage. An invitation to wear a piece of our South, captured in a jewel as poetic as it is timeless.
